Gem Collection Mechanic

Gems are central to the winning mechanic in Scatters Matter™. When four or more matching gems and a Scatter Magnet™ or sticky Scatter Magnet™ of the same type are visible, those gems are collected. The payout is calculated by multiplying the total number of collected gems by the corresponding paytable value and the current bet amount. If multiple identical Scatter Magnets™ appear, the win is duplicated for each. In the base game, up to three Scatter Magnets™ may land simultaneously on the initial panel.

Multiplier Symbols Explained

Each gem colour features a matching multiplier symbol. When gems are collected and a multiplier of the same colour is present, the collected gems’ value is increased by that multiplier. If several identical multipliers are on the screen, their values are summed before applying. Available multiplier values include 2x, 3x, 4x, and 5x.

Cascading Wins and Blank Exploders

On each win, all involved symbols (gems, Scatter Magnets™, and multipliers) are cleared, triggering a cascade. Symbols drop to the lowest available positions, and new ones enter from above. No blank symbols drop during these cascades. Blank exploder symbols can only land during paid game rounds (never on the initial panel or in free spins) and are limited to one per round. Once symbols have filled the panel, the blank exploder—alongside all blank symbols—detonates, causing another cascade and clearing all blanks from the panel.

Free Spins Feature: Scatter Booster, Sticky Scatter Magnets™ and Sticky Multipliers

  • Bonus symbols remain on the panel during cascades.
  • Landing 3, 4, or 5 bonus symbols after cascades awards 6, 8, or 10 free spins, respectively.
  • In free spins, blank symbols do not appear.
  • The scatter booster randomly selects one gem colour, applying a random multiplier between 1x and 15x to wins involving Scatter Magnets™ of that colour.
  • Sticky Scatter Magnets™ and sticky multipliers may only appear during free spins and persist for the duration of the feature.
  • Sticky Scatter Magnets™ do not reset each spin; they accumulate collected gems and pay for any spin or cascade where four or more new gems are collected. A maximum of two sticky Scatter Magnets™ in the same colour can exist at once during free spins.
  • Sticky multipliers start at 2x and do not reset during free spins. They absorb the values of matching multipliers involved in a win to increase their values over time. There can be up to two sticky multipliers of the same colour during free spins.
  • Sticky multipliers boost either collected gems by Scatter Magnets™ in the current spin or the running total collected by any sticky Scatter Magnets™ of that colour.
  • During free spins, bonus symbols can still land. Each additional bonus symbol grants one more free spin, with a limit of two bonus symbols per spin.
  • The free spins round can award a maximum win equivalent to 10,000 times the bet amount.
