Game Features and Special Symbols

Wild Symbols

  • WILDS: Substitute for any other symbol on the grid.
  • BOOK WILD: May activate portal effects when appearing during play.
  • MULTIPLIER WILD: Carries multiplier values. In the base game, these can be 2x, 3x, 4x, or 5x. In the bonus game, multipliers may be 2x, 3x, 5x, or 10x. Only the highest multiplier applies if multiple MULTIPLIER WILDS appear in the same winning cluster. MULTIPLIER WILD and YOG-SOTHOTH WILD multipliers are multiplied together for the final value.
  • YOG-SOTHOTH WILD: A 2x2 wild symbol that moves three times across the grid.

All-Seeing Eyes

  • In the base game, an ALL-SEEING EYE may appear. Making a win on its location activates it, granting 2–4 BOOK WILDS, which are added to the grid when no further wins occur.
  • During the DAMNATION FREE SPIN feature, there are 12 normal Eyes and 6 special Eyes. Triggering every ALL-SEEING EYE during the DAMNATION FREE SPIN summons the YOG-SOTHOTH WILD. Additional effects activate if 4, 5, or 6 ALL-SEEING MULTIPLIER EYES are opened, enhancing the YOG-SOTHOTH WILD with 2x, 3x, or 4x multipliers.

Portal and Charge Mechanics

  • Each winning symbol contributes a charge to the Portal. The following charge milestones grant rewards:
    • 8 charges: 2–4 BOOK WILDS are added.
    • 16 charges: 2–4 BOOK WILDS are added; winning with these triggers the HARVEST effect.
    • 30 charges: 2–4 BOOK WILDS are added; winning with these triggers the ABOMINATION effect.
    • 48 charges: Triggers the DAMNATION FREE SPIN feature.
  • HARVEST Effect: Targets positions two symbols away diagonally and three symbols away horizontally or vertically, removing symbols at these locations if possible.
  • ABOMINATION Effect: Upgrades a gem symbol into a ritual item.

Damnation Free Spin Feature

  • Achieving 48 portal charges guarantees entry into the DAMNATION FREE SPIN. This feature includes three Portal effects, with the potential to add up to a maximum of seven by collecting additional charges (one extra Portal effect is given for every set of four additional winning symbols counted beyond 48).
  • Once DAMNATION FREE SPIN starts, one random Portal feature is triggered whenever no further wins are created after a cascade. The feature concludes after all Portal Effects have been activated.

Game Structure and Rules

Gameplay Overview

  • Provider: Play'n GO
  • Reels: 5
  • Grid Layout: 5x5
  • Minimum Bet: £0.10
  • Maximum Bet: £5.00

Rich Wilde and the Tome of Insanity presents a cluster-based cascading slot that operates on a 5x5 grid. You form wins by landing clusters of four or more identical symbols that are directly connected either vertically or horizontally. When a winning combination is achieved, the contributing symbols are removed, and new symbols drop in to fill the empty spaces, creating chances for successive wins within the same round. Cascades continue until no more wins are possible.

Cluster Wins and Payouts

  • Wins are awarded for adjacent symbol clusters, following the paytable and game rules.
  • Multiple clusters in a single game round accumulate, and all combined feature, bonus, and cluster wins are paid at the end of the round.
  • Winning combinations must be horizontally or vertically contiguous, with no gaps, and can begin from any position on the grid.
  • Only the highest win per symbol combination is paid.
  • Free spins are played using the same bet amount as the triggering game round. Bets cannot be altered mid-round.

Game Management and Information

  • If a game round is interrupted, all progress and placed bets are preserved until the game is resumed. Unresolved bets on incomplete games will be cancelled after 90 days.
  • Any malfunction will void all game outcomes and placed bets.
  • Current RTP information is available within the game itself.

Betting Controls

  • Select your bet amount using the plus and minus bet buttons. Bets can be adjusted in set increments.
  • Start a game round by clicking the Spin button. After each spin, winnings are awarded based on the displayed symbols and the paytable. Successful combinations are removed and replaced by new symbols to create potential cascades.
