Wild Coin Symbols and Clam Wild Symbols
Reef Raider includes unique Wild Coin and Clam Wild symbols. When a winning cluster features at least three medium or low win symbols, after the win is evaluated and removed from the play area, a Clam Wild symbol will appear in place of one of the removed symbols before the next Avalanche occurs. Wild Coin symbols can appear in the main game and during Free Spins when specific features are triggered. Both Wild Coin and Clam Wild symbols substitute for any symbol except Multiplier symbols and are removed with their winning clusters. These symbols can participate in more than one adjacent cluster and only result in a win when combined with other symbols. Their substitution always awards the highest possible win for that cluster according to the game's paytable.
Multiplier Symbols
Multiplier symbols can boost the winnings from clusters they are horizontally or vertically adjacent to by values of x2, x3, x5, or x50. They are not considered part of the cluster but can influence multiple wins simultaneously if positioned next to separate clusters. These multipliers can appear anywhere, except on Mystery Overlay positions during Free Spins, and only one Multiplier symbol can be present at a time. When an adjacent winning cluster is resolved, the Multiplier symbol is removed from the reels alongside it.
Treasure Trail Meter and Feature Unlocks
The Treasure Trail meter begins with 15 uncharged bars. Every time a Clam Wild symbol is cleared due to a cluster win, one bar is charged. Each Clam Wild symbol can charge only one bar per round. Charging the meter unlocks the following features sequentially:
- 3 charged bars: Anchor Drop feature
- 6 charged bars: Random Wilds feature
- 9 charged bars: Mystery Chest feature
- 12 charged bars: Cannon Blast feature
These features are activated after no further wins result from Avalanches, and are played in the order awarded. Once all activated features have played, or there are no more cluster wins involving Clam Wild symbols, the meter resets to zero. Each new game round starts with a reset meter.
Anchor Drop Feature
Upon activation, the Anchor Drop feature selects one to three types of low win symbols at random and removes all matching symbols from the play area. After these are taken out, the Avalanche feature continues.
Random Wilds Feature
When this feature activates, four to eight Wild Coin symbols are randomly added to the reels. Wild Coin symbols will not be placed on Clam Wild or Multiplier symbol positions during this feature.
Mystery Chest Feature
This feature replaces between two and sixteen medium or low win symbols with Mystery symbols. Once activated, all Mystery symbols reveal themselves as the same medium or low win symbol, never a mix, and potential cluster wins are then evaluated. Mystery symbols may appear anywhere except on Wild Coin, Clam Wild, or Multiplier symbol positions.
Cannon Blast Feature
