Gargantoonz presents a series of unique features that enhance the gameplay experience. Wilds play a central role in the game, substituting for all symbols on the grid to help form winning combinations. The game includes several distinct wild mechanics and features, outlined below.

  • Random Fluctuating Symbol: At the start of every round, a one-eyed symbol type is chosen at random to fluctuate. Should a fluctuating symbol form part of a winning cluster, 1 to 2 Quantum Wilds will be placed on any of the positions vacated by removed symbols.
  • Random Wild Addition: If a round does not produce a win, between 4 and 8 Quantum Wilds may be added to the grid in random locations, providing further opportunities for cluster wins.

Experiment Charger & Experiments

The Experiment Charger is a special meter that is charged through winning clusters, initiating a sequence of experiments when filled. The process is as follows:

  • If no experiment is underway, each symbol in a winning cluster contributes towards charging the Experiment Charger. When 20 symbols have been collected, the charger is filled and a random experiment is triggered after all winning cascades are resolved. Additional experiments are triggered consecutively if the previous one is successful, until a maximum of three have been launched.
  • During an experiment, special wilds are added to the grid, and existing wilds are converted into one unified type. Only wild symbols can now contribute to recharging the Experiment Charger, requiring 40 symbols to fill. An additional 40 symbols will overcharge the meter, advancing the Gargantoonz multiplier by 1 for the feature.

Experiment Types

  • Gamma Ray Burst: Adds 7 to 9 wilds to the grid. Winning wilds count the number of symbols within their cluster, including all matching types, and then leave the grid to charge the Experiment Charger before any cascades continue.
  • Black Hole: Places 4 to 6 wilds on the grid. Winning wilds count the surrounding cluster symbols and persist on the grid while wins occur. Once all cascades finish, these wilds collect all adjacent symbols (including diagonally), then leave and charge the Experiment Charger. Should three or more wilds appear within the same cluster, their effects trigger instantly and they leave the grid.
  • Supernova: Introduces 3 to 5 wilds to the grid. Winning wilds count cluster symbols, remain on the grid if more wins are present, and attempt to move one step diagonally on each new cascade, provided there is space and they do not cross paths. At the conclusion of all cascades, these wilds travel up to eight steps, collecting symbols in their path, then exit the grid to charge the Experiment Charger. If three or more wilds group in a cluster, they trigger their feature immediately and leave the grid.

Gargantoon Charger and Feature

Successful completion of experiments charges the Gargantoon Charger, causing the Gargantoon to evolve. The initial multiplier for the Gargantoonz feature is x1, and every overcharged experiment increases this multiplier by an increment of 1, up to x4.

If all three experiments succeed within the feature cycle, the Gargantoonz feature is triggered. This plays out in three steps:

  • Eight 1x1 Gargantoon Wilds appear and remain on the grid, merging after any wins into two 2x2 Gargantoon Wilds before the next cascade starts.
  • The two 2x2 Gargantoon Wilds then merge into a 3x3 Gargantoon Wild. This occurs after wins are counted and before the following cascade begins.
  • The 3x3 Gargantoon Wild is removed with subsequent wins. Each Gargantoon Wild uses the multiplier relevant to its stage, but if more than one Gargantoon Wild is part of the same winning cluster, only a single multiplier applies.

Game Structure and Mechanics

Gargantoonz is a cascading cluster slot with a 7x7 grid developed by Play'n GO. Wins are formed when five or more matching symbols connect in horizontally or vertically adjacent clusters, without gaps. Winning symbols are removed and replaced by new symbols falling from above. Cascades continue until no further wins are achieved. All winning combinations are awarded at the end of the game round, and only the highest win per symbol combination is paid.

When triggered, feature rounds use the same bet value as the initiating game round. The wager cannot be changed during an ongoing round or feature sequence.
